Ilford Ilfotec DD Developer Starter LQD 1Lt

Ilford Ifotec DD is a high-capacity, replenishable black and white film developer formulated for dip and dunk (hanger) processors, ideal for labs and professionals handling large volumes of film. It is supplied as a liquid concentrate and diluted 1 + 4 with water to create a working strength replenisher. When combined with Ilfotec DD Sarter (at 1 + 250), it becomes an active machine developer ready for consistent processing. Known for its long tank life, strong resistance to contamination, and ability to produce high-quality negatives, Ilfotec DD is built for reliability in demanding environments. The recommended operating temperature is 75°F, though it remains effective within a range of 68° to 75°F. It performs exceptionally in dip and dunk systems, deep tanks, and continuous long-leader processors. For dip and dunk setups, nitrogen gas burst agitation is suggested to ensure uniform development. Ilfotec DD can also be used without replenishment for batch processing; in this case, development times should be increased incrementally after each roll or batch to compensate for developer exhaustion.
