A Faster, Slimmer, and More Responsive GR
Known as the “Ultimate Snap Shooter,” the Ricoh GR IV is the newest model in the renowned GR series of compact fixed-lens cameras, delivering excellent image quality, a sharp prime lens, and outstanding portability. It features a new 25.7MP BSI CMOS sensor, a redesigned 28mm-equivalent lens, enhanced autofocus and Shake Reduction, expanded internal storage, and a new battery. Additional improvements include refined focusing and shooting modes, along with the all-new GR WORLD app for wireless camera control and seamless image sharing.
New 25.7MP BSI CMOS Sensor and GR ENGINE 7 Processor
The Ricoh GR IV features a newly developed 25.7MP APS-C CMOS sensor with back-illuminated technology, delivering cleaner images with reduced noise. Paired with the upgraded GR ENGINE 7 processor, it offers up to one stop of improved low-light performance, a rapid 0.6-second startup time, and faster autofocus. With sensitivity reaching ISO 204800, the camera also supports versatile 14-bit DNG RAW and JPEG recording, just like its predecessor.
Faster and More Accurate Autofocus
Powered by the GR ENGINE 7 processor and a redesigned, lighter lens, the Ricoh GR IV offers faster autofocus, reduced focus hunting, and improved face detection, eye recognition, and subject tracking—even in low light.
The AF system accurately detects faces and eyes, highlights the focus point on the LCD, and identifies the primary subject when multiple faces are present.
Full Press Snap lets you instantly focus at a preset distance by fully pressing the shutter button, minimizing delays and helping capture decisive moments, especially in street photography.
5-Axis Shake Reduction
Enhancing low-light shooting capabilities, the Ricoh GR IV features a new 5-axis Shake Reduction system that provides up to 6 stops of shake compensation. Compared with the 3-axis stabilization system in the previous generation, this upgraded technology corrects a wider range of camera movements, helping minimize blur and deliver sharper images when shooting handheld.
