The AL-420 is perfect for air travel and backpacking. It is super lightweight, weighing 2.2lbs and built from Aircraft-grade aluminum. Fully retracted the AL-420 is less than 17 inches long making it easy to stow in a carry-on suitcase or backpack. The beauty of this tripod is that despite its compact size, it’s also a full sized tripod reaching over 60 inches when fully extended. Now image throwing everything you might need for a shoot on your back and hiking for hours to get to the perfect spot to take a photo. Or maybe you do that already and know how it feels. Now throw a tripod on top of all that. Think it’s going to weight you down? Not if it's a LITE series tripod from Slik. The LITE series are some of the lightest-weight tripods around. The two tallest of the series reach eye level while remaining under 2 and a half pounds and the smaller models are even lighter! The SLIK LITE series tripods have an integrated, removable LED flashlight in the center column. Use the flashlight to see inside your camera bag while shooting at night or remove it to light your path. Invert the legs 180° for more compact storage and transportation thanks to the new Rapid Flip Mechanisms.
