SLR Magic HyperPrime CINE 10mm T2.1 lens for Micro Four Thirds Mount **

The HyperPrime CINE 10mm T2.1 Lens is an ultra wide angle lens exclusive designed for Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mount cameras. The field of view corresponds to 20mm in 35mm format when used on MFT which opens up many new creative possibilities, in particular architectural and landscape cinematography and photography. It is integrated with a smooth decoupled greared aperture ring (allows seemless transitions of exposure) and gearing to the focus ring to allow ease of use for "follow-focus" systems. The maximum fast aperture of T2.1 makes the 10mm Hyperprime Cine Lens ideally suited to available light photography.

The lens is dedicated to Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mount cameras, currently Panasonic, Olympus and Blackmagic Cinema cameras. The SLR Magic 10mm Hyperprime is a manual focus only lens with a superb anodised, metal body manufactured to the highest standards.

• Color rendition - Natural with Vinematic Richness:

The HyperPrime 10mm renders colors with a slightly warm neutral tone, giving a relatively natural look. Skin tones are soft and pleasing. Contrast is moderate and not overly harsh, preserving highlight and shadow detail and giving you more flexibility in post. It’s easy to apply LUTs and perform color grading.

• Image Quality and Optical Character:

The center is sharp and the edges are practically usable. Even wide open at T2.1, the center resolution is excellent and suitable for low‑light shooting. Stopping down by one or two stops noticeably improves edge performance, satisfying creators who demand overall consistency across the frame. For a 10mm wide angle, barrel distortion is well‑controlled and does not produce exaggerated “ultra‑wide” deformation, making it ideal for interiors, architecture, real‑estate videos, and room tours. Detail rendition leans toward a “cinematic” look rather than ultra‑crisp digital sharpness, which is more forgiving on skin texture and helps avoid emphasizing facial imperfections. Although it’s a wide‑angle lens, at T2.1 with close‑focus distances it can still create a natural, gentle shallow depth‑of‑field effect, giving clear subject separation and more layered images. It’s well‑suited to handheld and gimbal shooting: the wide field of view combined with the compact body gives more stable handheld footage, and on a gimbal, slider, or car rig it can deliver highly immersive images.
