Compact, lightweight design
Despite its large APS-C sensor and longer-focal-length optics, the GR IIIx remains compact, portable, and pocket-friendly. It offers fast 0.8-second startup, conveniently placed controls, and intuitive touchscreen operation for quick shooting. Its rigid magnesium-alloy body also provides enhanced durability and reliability.
High-definition LCD monitor with intuitive touch-screen operation
The GR IIIx features a 3.0-inch, 1.04-million-dot high-definition touchscreen LCD for intuitive control, including AF point selection, menu navigation, and playback. Its air-gapless design reduces reflections for better visibility, while Outdoor View Setting allows quick brightness adjustment in challenging lighting conditions.
Image Control function to produce desired visual effects
The GR IIIx features a creative Image Control function, which integrates effect modes into conventional image setting operations. Using 11 basic Image Control modes, the user can easily adjust various parameters, such as saturation, hue, key, contrast and graininess, to the desired level and create their preferred finishing touch. A set of adjusted parameters can be added as a custom setting to the Image Control function menu.
Advanced image editing
The GR IIIx supports in-camera RAW development, letting users adjust settings such as image size, aspect ratio, white balance, Image Control, and exposure compensation without a PC. Adjusted settings are retained, allowing efficient fine-tuning after development. JPEG editing is also enhanced with a new monochrome mode offering detailed control over filter effects, toning, contrast, and sharpness. Additional creative tools include 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratios and 0.1-degree image rotation.
