Tell a more powerful story with the Composer Pro II with Edge 35 Optic. Draw the viewer’s eye, highlight details and blur out distractions with this unique selective focus lens.
The Composer Pro II with Edge 35 Optic is a 35mm f/3.5 lens that is part of Lensbaby’s Optic Swap System.
This slice of focus effect in a wider focal length helps you fit more of your story into the frame.
Place a sharp slice of focus through your image in any direction – tilting depth of field and allowing you to focus on objects in the foreground and background simultaneously. Tilting the lens up or down results in a horizontal slice of focus; left or right a vertical slice; diagonally for an angled slice. After setting the tilt, rotating the focus ring moves that slice of focus through the image, from one side of the frame to the other.
Once you’ve harnessed its power, the Edge 35 offers endless creative freedom. It’s an extraordinary tool for shooting unique landscapes, environmental portraits, urban scenes, and miniaturized worlds that you can now see through the lens.
Share your unique view of the world with the Edge 35.
The Composer Pro II with Edge 35 Optic is a 35mm f/3.5, tilting lens designed for photographers looking to create unique in-camera shots with a slice of tack-sharp focus and detail, at a wider focal length. Tilting this lens, will place a slice of sharp focus through objects in both the foreground and background of an image, bordered by smooth blur. This lens builds on the success of our Composer Pro II with Edge 50 and Edge 80 Optics -but at a wider focal length to fit more of the story into the frame.
The Composer Pro II swivels and tilts on a smooth metal ball and socket design, providing a fast and intuitive way to switch between traditional straight lens photos and tilt photography. Keep the lens pointed straight ahead to capture tack sharp 35mmimages with no creative effect, or create a sliceof focus through the image simply by tilting the lens. Tilt the lens up or down for a horizontal slice of focus; left or right for a vertical slice; diagonally for a diagonal slice. After setting the direction of tilt, rotate the focus ring to move that slice of focus through the image, from one side of the frame to the other. When tilted, the width of the slice of focus depends upon the aperture used. Brighter apertures will produce a thin slice of focus with lots of blur, to isolate the subject from their surroundings, while darker apertures willcapturemore of the scene in focus.
The Composer Pro II is part of Lensbaby’s Optic Swap System, made up of a lens body with an included optic. Simply swap out the optic that it came with, and insert a new optic to completely change the effect and focal length of the lens.
