Chris Itoh Visits CR Kennedy Australia with Tokina Vista Primes

As proud Tokina distributors, we were privileged to host Mastoshi Itoh San from Tokina over 2 days here in Sydney. We brought the incredible set of Tokina Vista Cinema primes to a top selection of rental houses, including Panavision and Arri, and it was terrific to see the lovely reception these fine lenses received.

We showcased both coated and uncoated Vistas, and a super 35mm prototype zoom that will also work on full frame sensors with the Tokina Cinema 1.6x PL to PL expander!

The flares produced by the uncoated versions created a beautiful aesthetic, in which you could almost see all the internal lens elements.

These lenses were tested on a plethora of cameras including the RED 8K Helium, courtesy of Stan, owner of The Front & Baker St Studios, the Alexa at Camera Hire, RED Monstro 8K at Southern Cross Cameras, the Alexa Mini at Cinoptix with the ever so passionate and hospitable owner Aquiles Sande! And the fantastic crew at Lemac Sydney.

We finally finished the trip with a visit to Arri Australia and VA hire, and gave Mastoshi Itoh San a tour of the ACS clubhouse, to show him how rich and vibrant our cinema industry is. Many thanks to David Lewis ACS for hosting us.
